Benefiting Education of Girls in Nigeria (BEGIN) is a young charity, but already it has made a difference to several young girls’ lives. Here are some of the girls we have helped:
Amina Musa

Amina was BEGIN’s first scholarship recipient. She is currently studying Statistics at Nasarawa State University, Nigeria. She hopes to work for the Federal Government of
Nigeria after finishing her studies.
“I am so grateful to BEGIN. Continuing my studies was a dream come true for me and I am now one of the happiest people on earth.”
Maryam Sahara

Saadatu had to defer her admission to the 2016/2017 academic session because of lack of funding. Her father is a cap washer and earns just US$30 a month. Thanks to gaining sponsorship from BEGIN, Saadatu was able to resume her studies and is currently studying Microbiology at the Nasarawa State University.

In addition to his work with BEGIN, Kasim has also donated a substantial sum of his own money so that a new building badly needed could be added to Asasul Private School in Keana, Nasarawa State, Northern Nigeria. The building, which is named after Kasim’s late mother Hajia Rabi Kasim, contains three classrooms as well as offices. It was finished in June 2017. This action strengthens the relationship/partnership between BEGIN and the School. Some of the children being sponsored are currently attending this school.
